NOTES TO EDITORS
1.  About Finalist Company
Prism the Gift Fund (Prism) is a UK registered charity (Charity No: 1099682) which administers the giving of individuals, corporates, foundations and groups of donors making significant gifts to charities all over the world. Our mission is to increase the flow of funds into the charitable sector by creating efficiencies through two core service offerings: Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) and Collective Funds (CFs).

Structurally, Prism is one charity with multiple restricted funds operated on behalf of DAF or Collective Fund clients. Prism also provides Foundation Administration for registered charities. Since inception, Prism has received donation income of over £700m and distributed c.£400m to charities, not for profits and social enterprises all over the world.

Prism has an ethos of offering a bespoke client service which is personal, efficient and swift. This combined with the high level of compliance that Prism offers and is well known for, allows donors to have peace of mind.

Donor Advised Fund (DAF) Service to High-Net-Worth individuals and families who channel their philanthropy through Prism as a time, cost, and tax-effective alternative to setting up a grant making foundation.

Prism makes giving easy with a DAF, an “Own-Name foundation” into which donors can gift cash, shares, property, cryptocurrency and art; all of which come with associated tax reliefs. Prism also provides tax-effective offshore and US services to donors where it may be applicable. Having made a contribution to their DAF, the donor then contacts their dedicated Relationship Manager at Prism to make a donation to a charitable cause anywhere in the world. Prism takes responsibility for the governance, compliance and due diligence of donations, enabling donors to focus on the causes that matter to them.

Collective Fund (CF) Providing charitable, finance and governance infrastructure to groups who want to run charitable projects. Prism provides its charity status, charitable expertise and administration.

This is a unique model enabling individuals and groups who are raising funds for a specific charitable cause to create a collective fundraising pot swiftly. This model helps groups to focus on the cause while their relationship manager at Prism provides the administration, compliance and governance removing the obstacles involved with setting up a standalone charity. These groups can claim gift aid on eligible donations, and Prism is able to distribute the funds making payments to support their charitable objectives in the UK or overseas.
