25th June 2018

Prism hosted our summer drinks event on Tuesday 26 June in The Secret Garden rooftop terrace of The Southplace Hotel in Moorgate, London. On a beautiful sunny summers evening in June the atmosphere was relaxed and calm, and a perfect opportunity for guests to mingle and listen to some powerful stories from a select few clients of Prism.
We first heard from Dani Lawrence who spoke passionately about Help Refugees, a Collective Fund client of Prism providing vital aid to people fleeing war, persecution and poverty. Her speech was from the heart and very moving describing how they initially came up with the idea to how the security and support of Prism has helped them achieve what they have today helping over 720,000 refugees. Ian McVeigh was next speaking about how his Donor Advised Fund with Prism has allowed him to flexibly and effectively manage his philanthropic giving to nearly 50 different charities. Finally we heard from Alfonso and The Lemon Tree Trust and his recent faux pas with the Queen – asking her a question at the Chelsea Flower Show where they won an award for their garden design. The Lemon Tree Trust support gardening initiatives in refugee communities to restore dignity and purpose.
